Skittish Jeff showed up to see "The Live Sessions from Stella's Fish Cafe" on November 2, 2007 to listen to Avenpitch and The Smarts. He could later be seen talking with Todd from Avenpitch on the side. Jeff quietly left a few of the CDs from Skittish on a table with a tag reminding people that Skittish will be appearing the following week. This was my first introduction to Jeff and Skittish. Little did I know what was to take place when Skittish performed at Stella's Fish Cafe on November 8th. Quietly. A piano was set up. Then the lead guitar. Finally a surprise a mandolin. This show was astounding. Each song of each set was a thrill to listen to with a show to go along with it. I knew when I saw the mandolin that we were in for one of the best shows yet this year. Far from "mainstream music", Skittish brought forward a sound all of their own and it was pleasing. Lucky and I talk about it everytime we speak. Again, every member of the group Skittish could not be more gracious when delivering their performance and interviews. Pleasant, honest, humble and all about great music. Skittish has that special sound which only pleases. If you miss seeing Skittish at a live performance, you have missed a bright star in the Minneapolis sky. Thank you for the most wonderful performance and your gracious posture. Definately, Skittish is all about the music.
